A little help getting started
From your first plan
to your first discovery.
Start in the family workspace. You stay in charge of the plan, permissions, and review.
Use Quest test family and Robin Test for the current practice walkthrough. Verify your adult email, enable test learning and approve a week. Real-child enrollment, private uploads, microphone recording and payments are closed.
- Add a learner. Open Learners, choose a display name and presentation, and set the level of autonomy.
- Review learning permissions. Choose the learner in Settings. Read the authorization notice before enabling learning. You can revoke access here at any time.
- Choose activities. Open Curriculum to explore the original lesson graph and available standards coverage. When AI drafting is available, review every generated step and answer before approval.
- Approve the week. Draft a plan, check the sources, materials, and safety notes, then approve or reject it. Use Planner to schedule approved activities.
- Use a learner device. In the learner’s device controls, create a code. On the learner’s iPhone or iPad, choose learner access and enter that code. The child does not need your password or a separate email.
- Or open a supervised learner session. Return to Learners and choose “Open supervised learner space.” The learner sees their approved activities without guardian settings.
- Look for understanding. Complete a lesson and quiz, then return to Assessments. Review the evidence and add what you observed.
When something needs attention
If an activity is unavailable, check that the learner’s authorization and plan approval are active. If a request fails, use Retry and check whether the last change was saved before submitting it again. Your saved records remain in your family workspace.
Voice and subscriptions appear only when the relevant service is enabled. Their availability does not change your control over learner permissions.
